Recovery mode is actually a very common feature that smart thermostats have and it is not a sign that anything is problematic with your device. When your Honeywell thermostat works in Recovery Mode, it simply means that the thermostat is trying to adjust towards a previously set temperature according to the schedule you established. For example, if the thermostat is set to cool down a room to 70 degrees at 8 pm, then the HVAC system should start working before 8 pm to achieve that temperature on time.
